10Quirky rooms with great common spaces and a gym
Good: The staff were outstanding plus the hotel very quirky with a great vibe. Not a big room but very cleverly designed. Easy 15 min walk to the ferry with a free 2 min ferry road to Amsterdam central. This area has massive development going on with apartments, offices and retail/hospitality being built. Would like to come back in a couple of years to see it all finished.
Bad: I would of liked a jug and coffee/tea facilities in my room.
Plus we were on the first floor with our window overlooking the common bar/lounge area. It would of been nice for our windows to be at least half frosted so people couldnt look in as you dont always want to have your blinds closed.

8Very nice, but...
Good: Very modern, nice vibe, friendly staff
Bad: Weird solution in regards to reception. Mix of self service and traditional reception.
In my opinion if you aim for self service you need to provide as much information as possible to make user's (guest in this case) experience as easy as possible. For example information about WIFI, breakfast, etc. It was possible to ask someone in reception, but if you provide all the information in right places no one else would need to bothered.
Was possitively surprised with hot options for breakfast, just to found out that none of them were actually hot, but rather slightly warm.
