8A small but cosy room.
Good: The location is very good, next to the metro. It is very easy to reach both the centre and the beach on foot. City tax is payable upon check-in. I did not see this information when booking, it was a surprise. A small but cosy room. Nice roof terrace. A refrigerator is available. Cleaning every day. Shower gel and shampoo are available, but very small portions. There is also an air conditioner, although, on the last night of the stay, it smelled strange and had to be turned off. Not a smart TV. Breakfast is good. Many options to choose from. Very tasty yoghurt. I would like to mention the restaurant Moderno, next to the hotel. Nice atmosphere, affordable prices and friendly staff.

7Main advantage is location on La Rambla
Good: The location is the main bonus of Hotel Moderno. It's right on La Rambla, a short walking distance from Plaa Catalunya and the Barri Gotic.
Bad: Our room was clearly not the pretty one portrayed on Booking.com. It was fine. It was very noisy at night, but that is due to the location more than anything else. The bathroom could use a strong refreshment and modernisation of the bath and shower.
