7Good after the initial problems...
Good: Good location, good facilities, nice bar area and large rooms
Bad: When we arrived they had cancelled our booking. I selected pay on arrival when I booked but they tried to take the money weeks before we arrived, because the money wasn’t available in my account at the time my card rejected it and they just cancelled our booking but we weren’t made aware as it still showed as active in my booking.com account. Customer service agreed they shouldn’t have tried to take payment before but when we got to the hotel they said no this isn’t their policy and they always take payment before! We then had to re-book through the Hilton website and pay more money and then I had to spend ages on the phone to booking.com trying to make sure I didn’t get charged from them as well as it had gone past the free cancellation stage. After a whole day of travelling and being on crutches myself this was a big anti climax.
