Hotel Des Arts is around the corner from the Kalverstraat shopping area, in the heart of Amsterdam. The Dam Square, Royal Palace and the Flower Market are all within 1640 feet. The recently renovated rooms in 2023 decorated with old-Dutch touches and come with a private bathroom. Good: Location, comfort and breakfast were above expectation. Very friendly staff too. My room, number 2, was very well priced and for that reason I am giving a 10/10
Bad: I would suggest to spend €30,- and buy a new ironing board :).

Good: Very cute hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, the breakfast delicious! Keep in mind, there isn't a lift and the stairs are narrow and many! If you have heavy luggage, you'll need to heave and ho them up the stairs yourself. This includes putting them in the luggage storage room. In my room, at the back of the building, you may struggle in the bathroom if you are taller that 5"10 as the beams are sloped. The location was good, I walked everywhere, and close enough toe the Dam Square which seems to be the central location. The closest supermarket 'Dirk' is near The Dam Square too.
