The painter Piet Mondriaan lived and painted in this hotel between 1904 and 1907. Examples of Mondriaan's paintings can be seen on the walls throughout the hotel. 10Central location and vintage style hotel
Good: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are shabby in vintage style. Shower and sink were shared but very clean. I can recommend it for your travels with your eyes closed
Bad: It is old building i think thats why the stairs are too vertical. Poor accessibility for people with disabilities or walking difficulties.

Good: The location was the only good thing about this place.
Bad: I could go on forever about what was wrong with this place, but lets just name a few. The room we got was extremely dusty, tiny and there was a lot of mould on many parts of the walls. Extremely uncomfortable beds and pillows and the ventilation in the room is horrendous. Paper thin walls to the point where you can hear everything from every part of the hotel. On our last night in the hotel, the people in one of the rooms near us were shouting and banging doors for about 2 hours (1am-3am) and absolutely nothing was done about it by the staff at the hotel. The guest policy is ridiculous. We couldnt even have a friend visit us past 10pm, to have her get ready with us to go out to an event in town because they claimed she was going to stay over with us in the room. This incident was handled extremely badly by the Italian receptionist who was extremely rude during the entirety of the interaction even though I informed him 2 days prior that the person was coming. This forced us to go to a neighboring bar and do make-up and get ready there. Can you imagine this. A holiday is supposed to leave you wanting more, but instead due to the experience at this hotel we were found wanting to leave as soon as possible. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
